I love Open Source code. I work at GitHub, which makes the whole endevour pretty easy for me, but even before that I was releasing my crappy code as Open Source.
Here is some of my code - everything is under MIT because I love the permissive licenses.
Technical articles on Git or web stuff. Stories of what my kid is doing that pretty much only I care about. Random pontification. My travels. Pictures I want to share. Things I find funny.
Issues with git-flow I travel all over the place teaching Git to people and nearly every class and workshop I’ve done recently has asked me what I think about git-flow....
I talk a lot. At conferences, yes, but I also just generally talk a lot. People honestly don't even have to be around, sometimes I just talk to myself. Not in a "I hear voices" sort of way, but just in a blah blah blah sort of way.
But I also talk at conferences.
Here are some of em.
My name is Scott Chacon. I am a software developer, Git evangelist, writer, world traveler, father, husband, cat rescuer, baby signer and gorilla tamer. Not neccesarily in that order.
This is my little bit-box on the web where I put stuff that people for some inconceivable reason might want to find out about me.
I work at GitHub. And it is awesome.
